  1. Cook urad dal until very soft. Drain and mash. Mix with jaggery and cardamom to a dry paste. Make a soft wheat dough with flour, water, and a little ghee. Divide into balls. Flatten each, place a spoonful of filling in the center, fold edges over, roll flat again carefully. Cook on a dry griddle over medium heat, brushing with ghee, until golden spots appear on both sides.
