Ingredients

• Butter
• Sugar
• Flour
• Egg for glaze
• Almonds (optional)

Instructions

1. Knead ingredients into a firm dough
2. Press into a flat round tin
3. Brush with egg and score a diamond pattern
4. Bake until golden but still slightly soft in the center
