  1. 1. Beat butter, eggs, and salt until creamy. 2. Add crushed anise seeds and crumbled cheese. 3. Gradually add cassava starch and cornmeal, adding milk as needed to form a soft dough. 4. Knead for 10 minutes until smooth. 5. Shape into small balls or rings (argollas). 6. Place on a greased tray and bake at 200°C (400°F) for 20-25 minutes until golden and firm.
