Georgia's favorite natural candy—strings of walnuts or hazelnuts dipped into a thick, concentrated grape juice jelly.

  1. 1. Thread nut halves onto long strings. 2. Boil grape juice until it reduces by half. 3. Gradually whisk in flour to the warm juice to form a thick, smooth paste (tatara). 4. Dip the nut strings into the hot paste until fully coated. 5. Hang the strings to dry in the sun or a warm room for 3-5 days until they are no longer sticky but still flexible.
