Dirt Cake

Layered Oreo crumb and vanilla pudding-Cool Whip dessert served in a flower pot with gummy worms — the retro American potluck dessert that every child of the 80s and 90s remembers.

Ingredients

• 1 package Oreos (36 cookies), crushed
• 2 packages (3.4oz each) instant vanilla pudding mix
• 3 cups cold milk
• 230g cream cheese, softened
• 1/2 cup butter, softened
• 1 cup powdered sugar
• 1 container (12oz) Cool Whip, thawed
• Gummy worms
• New flower pot (clean) and silk flower (optional)

Instructions

1. Crush Oreos into fine crumbs (food processor or Ziploc bag with rolling pin).
2. Make pudding with milk. Refrigerate 5 minutes.
3. Beat cream cheese, butter, and powdered sugar until smooth.
4. Fold Cool Whip into cream cheese mixture.
5. Fold pudding into cream cheese mixture.
6. Layer in a trifle dish or clean flower pot: Oreo crumbs, pudding mixture, repeat.
7. Top with Oreo crumbs.
8. Stick gummy worms poking out of the top layer.
9. Refrigerate at least 4 hours. Add a silk flower if using flower pot.
