  1. 1. In a tall glass, layer the sweetened beans, jellies, and fruits at the bottom. 2. Fill the glass with finely shaved ice. 3. Pour a generous amount of evaporated milk over the ice. 4. Top with a slice of leche flan, a dollop of ube halaya, and a scoop of ube ice cream. 5. The name "Halo-Halo" means "mix-mix"—the best way to eat it is to stir everything together until it becomes a thick, cold, purple slurry.
