Panamanian fried dough — light, puffy, and slightly sweet, eaten for breakfast with cheese, eggs, or simply dusted with sugar.

Ingredients
- 500g flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp butter
- 250ml warm milk
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Mix flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- Rub in butter. Add milk gradually to form soft dough.
- Knead briefly. Rest 30 minutes.
- Divide into 8 balls. Flatten into thin rounds.
- Fry in hot oil until puffed and golden on both sides.
- Drain. Serve with cheese, eggs, or sugar.
