Karask (Barley Bread)

A rustic, quickly-made barley and curd cheese bread, often served warm with honey and butter.

  1. 1. Mix the curd cheese with eggs and kefir. 2. Stir in the dry ingredients (flour, soda, salt, sugar). 3. Pour the thick batter into a greased loaf pan. 4. Sprinkle with caraway seeds if using. 5. Bake at 200°C (400°F) for 30-35 minutes. 6. Best served warm with fresh butter and honey.
