Karpatka (Carpathian Cream Cake)

A delightful cream cake named after the Carpathian Mountains due to its wavy, mountain-like puff pastry layers.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Make choux pastry by boiling water/butter, adding flour, then eggs.
  2. Spread on two sheets and bake at 200°C for 25 mins until "mountainous".
  3. Make a thick custard base, cool, then cream with butter.
  4. Layer the cream between the two pastry sheets.
  5. Dust with powdered sugar.
