Kołacz (Polish Wedding Cake)
An ancient Slavic ritual bread or cake. Today, it is usually a rich yeast dough filled with sweet cheese or poppy seeds, topped with a lattice pattern.

Ingredients
- 500g flour, 100g butter, 3 yolks
- 200ml milk, 100g sugar, yeast
- Filling: 500g sweet twaróg cheese or poppy seed paste
Instructions
- Make a rich yeast dough and let it rise.
- Divide into two parts. Roll out one part as the base.
- Spread the filling. Use the second part to create a lattice or decorative top.
- Bake at 180°C until golden.
