Bled Cream Cake (Kremšnita)

A famous cream cake from Lake Bled, consisting of a puff pastry base, a thick layer of vanilla custard, and whipped cream.

Ingredients

• Puff pastry
• Vanilla custard (milk, eggs, sugar, flour, vanilla)
• Whipped cream
• Powdered sugar

Instructions

1. Bake two sheets of puff pastry.
2. Prepare a rich vanilla custard and pour over the bottom pastry sheet while hot.
3. Let cool completely.
4. Spread a thick layer of whipped cream over the custard.
5. Place the second pastry sheet on top.
6. Dust with powdered sugar and cut into squares.
