Armenian Manti (Open-Faced Dumplings)
Tiny, canoe-shaped dough boats filled with spiced meat, baked until crispy, and served with garlic yogurt and tomato broth.

Ingredients
- Dough: 2 cups flour, 1 egg, water. Filling: 500g ground beef, onion, salt, pepper. Sauce: Matzoon (yogurt), garlic, tomato paste, butter
Instructions
- 1. Roll dough thin and cut into 1-inch squares. 2. Place a small pinch of meat in the center of each square and pinch the ends to form a "boat." 3. Place boats tightly in a buttered pan. 4. Bake at 400°F (200°C) until the dough is golden and meat is cooked. 5. Pour a little hot tomato broth over them and bake for another 5 mins. 6. Serve with a generous amount of garlic yogurt and a drizzle of melted butter with paprika.
