Miyeok-guk (Seaweed Soup)
A clean, savory soup made from brown seaweed and beef or mussels, deeply tied to Korean traditions of birth and health.

Ingredients
- 30g dried seaweed (miyeok)
- 100g beef brisket, sliced
- 1 tbsp Sesame oil
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tsp minced Garlic
- 6 cups water
Instructions
- Soak dried seaweed in water for 20 minutes, then rinse and cut.
- Sauté beef and seaweed in sesame oil until beef is browned.
- Add water and bring to a boil.
- Add soy sauce and garlic. Simmer for 20-30 minutes until the broth is rich.
- Season with salt to taste.
