Traditional Mooncakes
Rich pastries with a thin crust and dense filling, traditionally eaten during the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Ingredients
- Crust: Flour, golden syrup, alkaline water, oil
- Filling: Lotus seed paste or red bean paste
- Salted egg yolks
Instructions
- Wrap salted egg yolk inside the sweet paste. Wrap the paste inside a thin layer of crust dough.
- Press into decorative mooncake molds.
- Bake, brushing with egg wash for a golden shine.
- Wait 2 days for the crust to soften (oil return) before eating.
