Fish and Chips
Fresh local white fish battered and deep-fried, served with crispy thick-cut potato chips.

Ingredients
- 4 fillets white fish (snapper, hoki, or gurnard) 1 cup flour 1 cup beer or cold soda water 1 tsp baking powder Potatoes for chips Salt and vinegar Lemon wedges Tartar sauce
Instructions
- 1. Peel and cut potatoes into thick chips. Deep fry until golden and crispy. 2. Whisk flour, baking powder, and cold beer into a smooth batter. 3. Dredge fish fillets in a little extra flour, then dip into the batter. 4. Deep fry the fish until the coating is golden and bubbly. 5. Drain on paper towels and season with sea salt and vinegar. 6. Serve wrapped in paper with lemon wedges and tartar sauce.
