Pan de Muerto
Mexican Day of the Dead bread — a soft, orange-blossom scented sweet bread topped with bone-shaped dough pieces and sugar.

Ingredients
- 500g flour
- 100g sugar
- 100g butter, softened
- 4 eggs
- 7g dried yeast
- 100ml warm milk
- 2 tbsp orange blossom water
- Zest of 1 orange
- 1 tsp salt
- Sugar for coating
Instructions
- Dissolve yeast in warm milk with a little sugar.
- Mix flour, sugar, and salt. Add eggs, butter, yeast mixture, orange blossom water, and zest.
- Knead 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Rise 1.5 hours.
- Shape into round loaves. Make bone-shaped strips from dough and place on top.
- Rise 30 minutes.
- Bake at 180C for 25-30 minutes.
- Brush warm bread with melted butter. Coat with sugar.
