A rich, creamy Easter dessert made from tvorog (curd cheese). It is molded into a truncated pyramid, symbolizing the Tomb of Christ.

Instructions

  1. Pass tvorog through a sieve for a smooth texture.
  2. Whisk yolks with sugar and cream over a water bath until thickened. Let cool.
  3. Mix tvorog, butter, and the cream mixture. Fold in fruits and nuts.
  4. Line a pyramidal mold (Pasotchnitsa) with cheesecloth.
  5. Pack the mixture into the mold, put a weight on top, and chill for 24 hours to drain.
