Pastel de Papa (Argentine Potato Pie)

The Argentine cousin of Shepherd's Pie — layers of seasoned ground beef topped with creamy mashed potatoes and melted cheese.

Ingredients

• 500g ground beef
• 1kg potatoes, mashed with butter and milk
• 1 onion, chopped
• 1/2 cup green olives
• 2 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
• Grated cheese
• Cumin and paprika

Instructions

1. Cook beef with onions and spices. Stir in olives and eggs.
2. Place the beef mixture in a baking dish.
3. Top with a thick layer of mashed potatoes.
4. Sprinkle with cheese and bake until the top is golden and bubbling.
