Paštrovski Makaruli

Hand-rolled pasta from the Paštrovići region, traditionally served with a rich meat sauce or cheese.

Cuisine: Montenegro

Ingredients

• Flour and water (for pasta)
• Olive oil
• Salty cheese
• Meat stew (optional)

Instructions

1. Roll pasta dough into thin cylinders around a needle or thin stick.
2. Let dry briefly.
3. Boil in salted water.
4. Toss with local olive oil and plenty of grated cheese.
