Pečenica s Kislim Zeljem (Sausage with Sauerkraut)

A classic winter meal of fried pork sausage served with sautéed sauerkraut and potatoes.

Ingredients

• 2 pečenica sausages
• 500g sauerkraut
• Onion, garlic, lard
• Bay leaf, peppercorns
• Boiled potatoes for serving

Instructions

1. Sauté sauerkraut with onion, garlic, and spices in lard until tender.
2. Fry the sausages in a separate pan until browned and cooked through.
3. Serve the sausages on a bed of sauerkraut with boiled potatoes on the side.
