A unique rectangular pizza with a thick, focaccia-like crust, topped with a rich, chunky tomato sauce and a sprinkle of Pecorino Romano – cheese is optional and often added after baking.

- Thick pizza dough
- 28 oz crushed tomatoes
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Pecorino Romano cheese
- Olive oil
Instructions
- Press dough into a greased rectangular pan.
- Simmer crushed tomatoes with garlic, oregano, and a pinch of salt for 15 minutes.
- Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough.
- Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 20-25 minutes until crust is golden and sauce is slightly thickened.
- Sprinkle with Pecorino Romano cheese after baking, if desired.
- Let cool slightly before cutting.
