Prinjolata (Carnival Cake)

A spectacular, mound-shaped cake made of sponge, nuts, and cherries, topped with cream.

Ingredients

• sponge cake bits, pine nuts (pinu), almonds, glacé cherries, dark chocolate, cream or meringue frosting

Instructions

1. Mix cake bits with nuts and fruit
2. Press into a mound
3. Coat with thick cream or meringue
4. Drizzle with chocolate and more cherries
