Puppy Chow (Muddy Buddies)

Chex cereal coated in chocolate, peanut butter, and powdered sugar — the Midwest party snack that no school event, movie night, or office break room can exist without.

Ingredients

• 9 cups Chex cereal (rice or corn)
• 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
• 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
• 1/4 cup butter
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1.5 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

1. Melt chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter together (microwave or stovetop).
2. Add vanilla.
3. Pour chocolate mixture over Chex in a large bowl. Fold gently until evenly coated.
4. Pour coated Chex into a large Ziploc bag or paper bag.
5. Add powdered sugar. Seal and shake vigorously until every piece is coated.
6. Spread on parchment paper to cool.
7. Store in an airtight container.
