Sēņu Mērce (Wild Mushroom Sauce)
A rich, creamy sauce made from foraged wild mushrooms, typically served over boiled potatoes.

Ingredients
- 500g wild mushrooms (chanterelles, porcini, etc.), cleaned and chopped 1 onion, chopped 200ml sour cream or heavy cream 50g butter Fresh dill, chopped Salt and pepper
Instructions
- 1. Sauté the chopped onion in butter until soft. 2. Add the mushrooms and cook until their liquid has evaporated and they start to brown. 3. Stir in the sour cream or heavy cream. 4. Simmer on low heat for a few minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. 5. Season with salt, pepper, and a generous amount of fresh dill. 6. Serve immediately over hot boiled potatoes.
