Songpyeon (Half-moon Rice Cakes)
Small, half-moon shaped rice cakes made of glutinous rice flour and filled with sweet ingredients, traditionally steamed on a bed of pine needles.

Ingredients
- Rice flour, water
- Fillings: sweetened sesame seeds, honey, honey-bean paste, chestnuts
- Pine needles for steaming
Instructions
- Knead rice flour with hot water into a dough.
- Take small pieces of dough, flatten, add filling, and shape into a half-moon.
- Steam over a layer of pine needles for 20 minutes.
- Rinse in cold water and coat with sesame oil.
