Suikerbrood (Sugar Bread)

A sticky, sweet bread from Friesland containing large chunks of cinnamon sugar.

Cuisine: Netherlands

Ingredients

• Flour, yeast, milk
• Sugar pearls (parelsuiker)
• Cinnamon
• Ginger syrup

Instructions

1. Knead an enriched dough
2. Fold in sugar pearls and cinnamon
3. Bake in a loaf tin until sticky and caramelized
4. Serve in thick slices with plenty of butter
